Consultation
Support for Parents and Caregivers
I strongly believe the family system plays an important role in helping a child or teenager achieve set therapy goals. I encourage caregivers to participate in the therapy process by meeting with me for regular consultation sessions. In these sessions, we will review your child’s progress in therapy and discuss what strategies may help your child at home, school, and beyond. As a parent myself, I know the importance of wanting to stay in the loop. Each consultation session will be a collaborative experience as we attend to your child’s needs.
Additional Support
Sometimes I find it helpful to receive additional insight from other key people in your life such as healthcare providers and teachers. This additional insight paints a clearer picture of your world, and allows me to assist individual needs outside of the therapy walls. This may look like an email check-in, phone consultation, or school observation which allows me to witness your child in the school setting.
